Our Approach

The goal of FLEX is to saturate these communities with work-related supports and opportunities, creating a culture of work. Through the power of community support, employment training and financial education combined with a financial incentive; we hope each resident will be positioned to advance economically, personally and professionally. The FLEX program offers a comprehensive approach to case management and annually evaluates ways to improve the support of its participants. Participants engage in a variety of resources designed to foster personal and professional growth.

What We Offer

  1. Employment-related service: Participants will work closely with a case manager to develop a plan that address employment goals and barriers to those goals. This includes, but is not limited to; work-readiness training, job placement, education on financial management, support with childcare, transportation and more.
  2. Financial incentives: Residents living at FLEX properties will have the benefit of also enrolling in a 100 percent income disregard benefit. Where all increases in earned income is disregarded for the length of the grant.
  3. Community support for work: From peer mentorship to community partner referrals, participants in the FLEX program will have access to supports that serve them as a whole person.
