The HCV program is a rental housing assistance solution that places housing choice in the hands of the individual or family. SNRHA pays a portion of the rent directly to a private landlord. Program participants pay the balance of the rent directly to the private landlord, which is calculated at approximately 30% of your household income. Public housing authorities like SNRHA receive federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to manage and operate the voucher program.

Voucher size typically corresponds to the number of bedrooms in the dwelling unit. Currently, SNRHA’s payment standards are at 110% of the HUD published Fair Market Rents (FMRs). HUD updates the FMRs annually.

Stay informed regarding any changes to your rent through your SNRHA caseworker and the RentCafe portal.

If you have any questions regarding your rent payments, please contact your caseworker who is listed on your account on RentCafe.
