It is the mission of the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority to provide safe, sanitary and affordable
housing to eligible people within our jurisdictions, in an environment that fosters idependence,
self-sufficiency and community pride.
The Admissions and Continued Occupancy Plan (
ACOP) for the Public Housing Program is designed to demonstrate that SNRHA is managing its program in
a manner that reflects its commitment to improving the quality of housing available to its public, and its
capacity to manage housing in a manner that demonstrates its responsibility to the public trust.
Public Housing units are available for anyone that meets income and program eligibility requirements
regardless of age, unless otherwise noted. Eligible applicants are not allowed to select the actual
development to be housed. Once your name reaches the top of the waitlist and your file is complete, the next
available unit will be offered to the next certified eligible applicant by required bedroom size. If the
unit is refused twice, your application will be withdrawn.
Conventional Public Housing
"Conventional Public Housing" was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible
low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Public housing comes in all sizes and
types, from scattered single family houses to high rise apartments for elderly families.
Designated Senior Public Housing
"Senior Designated Housing", is Conventional Public Housing only designated for seionrs. The Head, Spouse or
Co-Head must be 62 years of age or older.
