On behalf of the commissioners, residents and staff, of the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA), I welcome you to our website.

SNRHA is a newly created housing authority which was authorized by the state legislature during the 2009 session via Assembly Bill 478. The organization formally began operations on January 1, 2010 and combines the Housing Authority of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County Housing Authority, and North Las Vegas Housing Authority into one agency. The Regional Housing Authority has a nine member board of Commissioners that have fiduciary responsibility as well as the responsibility of establishing and overseeing policy for the agency. Clark County is the 15th largest county in the United States with a population of over 1.9 million residents. 

As so well put by Board Chairperson LaGrande, “as we move forward, we want to assure the residents that our main goal is to be accountable, provide better service, and to be fiscally responsible in the services and products that we provide. Affordable housing in Nevada has always been a challenge and the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority is ready, willing and well equipped to accept and meet the challenge of providing quality affordable housing for low to moderate income individuals.”

Right now we are in the process of creating the agency’s first Strategic Plan which will serve as the road map for planned goals and initiatives that will transform the way we do business. So “pardon our dust” as we work to reengineer cooperation and management to serve the citizens of Southern Nevada through efficient service.
