Career Training Program
The Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) provides a six-day
Career Training Program which is designed to assist residents and the
community in becoming employment-ready in today’s competitive job market.
The Career Training Program is
available to all residents of the SNRHA and the community.
Career Training Class Topics Include:
- Skills Assessment & Job Surveys
- Time Management & Task Planning
- Job Searching & Application Assistance
- Resumes & Cover Letters
- Interviewing Skills
- Employee Rights & Responsibilities
- Diversity in the Workplace

Workforce Investment Act Case Management
SNRHA receives Workforce Investment Act funding via Workforce Connections
(EOE), which provides funding for employment and training services throughout
the Southern Nevada area. The program is designed to address barriers
to employment and offers one-on-one support with the goal of helping
individuals obtain employment. The services available include:
- Resume Critiques
- Mock Interviews
- Career Assessments and Counseling
- Supportive Services for Job Searching and Employment-Related Activities
- Assistance in Paying for Basic Items Required for Work
- Job Placement Assistance
- On-the-Job Training, Work Experience & Internships
- Tuition Assistance for Vocational Training
